If it was not for “Rollerball” (1975), CatBusRuss & ThePoeticCritic would not be. It was their parents first date. The films the two siblings grew up with did not seem to have the same kind of satirical messages and commentaries on society, so they are drawn to the intelligence that these features had to offer. These are ideas that the Disney Renascence and “Bill & Ted” just could not offer.

This decade was more about art than the blockbuster. Making a profit was the goal of inexpensive exploitation features. The separation is something we may long for when compared today’s modern cinema. Just look at “Rollerball” (2002) to understand what the Stevens Siblings think.
